A Three-Level Parallelisation Scheme and Application to the Nelder-Mead Algorithm
We consider a three-level parallelisation scheme. The second and third levels
define a classical two-level parallelisation scheme and some load balancing
algorithm is used to distribute tasks among processes. It is well-known that
for many applications the efficiency of parallel algorithms of the second and
third level starts to drop down after some critical parallelisation degree is
reached. This weakness of the two-level template is addressed by introduction
of one additional parallelisation level. As an alternative to the basic solver
some new or modified algorithms are considered on this level. The idea of the
proposed methodology is to increase the parallelisation degree by using less
efficient algorithms in comparison with the basic solver. As an example we
investigate two modified Nelder-Mead methods. For the selected application, a
few partial differential equations are solved numerically on the second level,
and on the third level the parallel Wang's algorithm is used to solve systems
of linear equations with tridiagonal matrices. A greedy workload balancing
heuristic is proposed, which is oriented to the case of a large number of
available processors. The complexity estimates of the computational tasks are
model-based, i.e. they use empirical computational data
Skysčio judėjimo elastingame vamzdyje matematinio modelio asimptotinė analizė
In this paper the model of the fluid flow in elastic pipe is studied. This model is described by the system of hyperbolic equations. The asymptotic analysis of these equations allows to investigate the conditions of the interaction of waves in the resonance case. The averaged system of integrodifferential equations is constructed to find the uniformly valid asymptotic solution in the long time interval and large interval of the dimensional variable.

In this paper hyperbolic system of the first order gas dynamics PDE with initial and boundary conditions is studied. The aim of the paper is to construct the averaged system of differential equations in order to find the uniformly valid in a large domain asymptotical solution. The averaged system is a new object of asymptotical analysis.

In this paper weakly non-linear hyperbolic system of the first order differential equations with boundary conditions is studied. The averaged system of integro-differential equations along the characteristics is contructed. The aim of this paper is to get the conditions for the existence of classic solution to mentioned averaged problem.Darbe nagrinėjama pirmos eilės diferencialinių lygčių silpnai netiesinė hiperbolinė sistema su kraštinėmis sąlygomis ir konstruojama ją atitinkanti suvidurkintų išilgai charakteristikų integralinių diferencialinių lygčių sistema. Darbo tikslas – nustatyti kada suvidurkintas kraštinis uždavinys turi klasikinį periodinį sprendinį
Apibendrintosios Hirota–Satsuma tipo sistemos asimptotinė analizė
Paper deals with the nonlinear coupled equations of the well known in the literature Hirota–Satsuma type system. The asymptotic analysis of this system, which is based on the principle of two scales and on averaging of weakly nonlinear hyperbolic systems along characteristics is presented in the paper. The asymptotic analysis shown that the system disintegrates on three independent Korteweg–de Vries equations in the non-resonance case, and the system describes an interaction of periodical nonlinear waves in the resonance case.Darbe nagrinėjamos netiesinės susietos banginės lygtys, žinomos literatūroje kaip Hirota-Satsuma tipo sistema. Atliekama šios sistemos asimptotinė analizė, kuri leidžia periodiniu atveju nustatyti bangų rezonansinės sąveikos atsiradimo sąlygas. Analizės pagrindą sudaro kelių mastelių principas ir silpnai netiesinių hiperbolinių sistemų vidurkinimas pagal charakteristikas. Parodyta, kad tokio tipo sistemos atskirais atvejais išsiskaido į nepriklausomas Kortevego–de Vryso (Korteweg–de Vries) lygtis, tačiau rezonansiniu atveju suvidurkinta sistema lieka susieta ir aprašo bangų sąveiką
Asymptotical analysis of some coupled nonlinear wave equations
We consider coupled nonlinear equations modelling a family of travelling wave solutions. The goal of our work is to show that the method of internal averaging along characteristics can be used for wide classes of coupled non-linear wave equations such as Korteweg-de Vries, Klein – Gordon, Hirota – Satsuma, etc. The asymptotical analysis reduces a system of coupled non-linear equations to a system of integro – differential averaged equations. The averaged system with the periodical initial conditions disintegrates into independent equations in non-resonance case. These equations describe simple weakly non-linear travelling waves in the non-resonance case. In the resonance case the integro – differential averaged systems describe interaction of waves and give a good asymptotical approximation for exact solutions
